Assuming the 408 layouts in http://web2py.com/layouts are not enough
you can use this:

http://code.google.com/p/web2py/source/browse/trunk/scripts/layout_make.py

It would be nice if somebody where to start a business of hosting
web2py layouts. ;-)

Massimo,
This is very useful. An excellent start to the plugin system.

This is great!

Are there any manuals about the new plugin system?

It is still not fully decided on how plug ins will work. Therefore they will not be backwards compatible, and no documentation except what is in the google posts about it.
