Hello Web2Open Volunteers!
Thanks so much for piping up and helping out. There's been much going
on over the last few months to prepare for Web2Open but there's much
to do going forward and it's awesome to have you contributing.
Next week, one of the things we're going to need to do is push the
community to register for the Open, get involved on CrowdVine, and
generally get excited! I'm already drafting a blog post for next week
about how awesome the event will be and if you want to get a head
start on one too, that's awesome.
Right now, however, here are two things you can do to help out:
Check out the volunteer page on the wiki and sign up for a time when
you can "man" or "woman" the info desk to welcome folks. The main job
of volunteers are to act as ambassadors to the rest of the conference,
educating folks about the un-conference style of things and how they
can get involved.

Also, get over to CrowdVine and look around at various ideas people
are putting out there for Open sessions. CrowdVine is ground-zero of
the conference leading up to it. We're encouraging folks who want to
lead sessions at the Open to create a blog post about it there and
rally support, as we're going to pick a few of them as pre-programmed
sessions in early Sept.

Thats it for now. If you have any questions, please email me or the
list.
See you soon!
