*Title: Oracle MDM Architect*
*Location: OH*
*Duration: 6 Months*
Master Data Management Architect. This position will help define, implement
and enforce good data practices during a migration from a legacy
application to Oracle. Oversight of architecture and data maintenance
process will be required ongoing for the client.
*Essential Functions:*
Х Participate in the requirements analysis, definition, planning and
implementation for a data warehouse
Х Work with business to define and document the scope and functional
requirements for data and reporting needs
Х Designing conceptual and logical models for the data warehouse using
standard data modeling methodologies and processes
Х Develop standards and processes related to data cleansing, data quality,
data consolidation and reporting
Х Provide recommendations on data warehouse strategies along with detailed
analysis to support these recommendations, including current reporting
environment assessment, future-state design data warehouse architectures
Х Design, develop, and implement services that support data warehousing as
well as systems/techniques that capture/distribute information from
multiple host systems.
Х Using BI solutions tools design, develop and implement dashboards and
Portals
Х Assist in the design the overall ETL processes and architecture
Х Provide architectural expertise to identify and promote best practices
for data modeling, providing oversight for all activities related to data
cleansing, data quality and data consolidation using industry standard data
methods and processes
Х Development of data warehouse documentation and standard procedures,
including data flow diagrams to demonstrate source, transformation and
target
Х Assist in the definition and oversight of data warehouse operational
procedures
Х Identify and promote data warehouse best practices and patterns for data
modeling, and oversee activities related to data cleansing, data quality
and data consolidation using standard data modeling methodologies and
processes
Х Develop a strategy for pursuing continuous data quality improvements
including a comprehensive data profile analysis with comparisons to source
systems
Х Management of Oracle data to support single global instance architecture
*Minimum Qualifications:*
Х BS or BA Degree in Computer Science or related Field (MBA Preferred) or
equivalent experience
Х 3+ Years experience working with relational and/or dimensional databases
(MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, etc.) & Data Warehousing. This includes the ability
to design and implement databases, write stored procedures and optimize
queries.
Х OBIEE Experience preferred
Х Ability to document and communicate standards
Х Proven presentation, oral and written communication skills
Х Proven interpersonal and team building skills
Х 3 years Oracle experience in data structure required: items, customers,
suppliers, etc.
Х Ability to work with large volumes of data with great attention to detail.
