How does the UE calculate SFN?

The UE uses P-SCH and S-SCH to know the slot boundary, frame bounday
and the scrambling code group of a cell. By trying out, different
scrambling codes in that group, it is able to find the scrambling code
to listen to CPICH as well as PCCPCH. Now on PCCPCH, the MIB is sent
every 8 frames. So the UE knows when SFN mod 8 is 0, there is a MIB

Hi all,
This is a query regarding the MIMO transmission in WCDMA downlink. The
release 6 standard has transmit diversity scheme on the downlink. i.e two
antenna at base-station. In that scenario. Does the BS indicate the presence
of STTD transmission to all the users ?? Because there is a kind of
interference which the SISO users will face.

Why is the CFN range on the Iub interfce is 0-4095 for PCH and 0-255
for rest of the transport channels.
Also, why is SFN range 0-4095 and not anything less or more. Is
there a good reason for

Can it be possible to have RACH congestion when more than 15 users try
to set up RRC congestion ?
I think there are 15 acess slots on RACH, and it works on slotted ALOHA

starts. In my case the CS attach is not happening. Only PS attach is

What makes the difference ..., both are frequency domain based
methods. If you are building one over existing N/W's, that will be
MC-CDMA or if you build one from scratch, you'll make a lesser complex
OFDMA. So what is interesting in that ???
