Since most of our group is going to be enjoying the mountains in Arkansas, those of us left are proposing that we join up with the Intermediate Social Group this weekend.

The plan will be to meet at the Exxon Station at Woodlands Parkway and FM2978 about 6:45am and depart shortly there after for the Church on FM 2854. The Social Group will be departing there about 8:00am. So we will either meet them there or simply ride through Grand Lakes and do Rabben Chappel Rd in reverse till we meet up.

Distance will be what ever we all agree to.

See you there.

This morning, David Currie, and three of his friends along with BJ and myself departed the Exxon Station and rode out to meet the Social Group at the church on 2854 arriving just about the time everyone began to depart he parking lot. The ride took us over to Montgomery and then the Gorilla loop to Dacus. By the time we arrived in Dacus I was showing about 47 miles.

It was great to see everyone again. There must have been about 30 riders or more that went out initially.

We decided to go on to Richards and then cross the lake on 1097 and came back home via Longmeyer and the feeder to 242 and through the High School and Church of The Woodlands drive and parking areas. We ended up with over 100 miles. My guess is that David's crew had close to 110.

While we did not originally go out with this intention. The cool weather and tail wind coming home made it seem much shorter.

Next weekend is Memorial Day. I understand "The Navigator" - Mr. Weidline is already planning our routes. Should be able to get a couple of good rides in. Maybe one up toward Hill Top Lakes. But that will be Bill's call.

Have not heard from the Talamina Crew yet....but figure it wont be long.

Hi Tom,

I'm sitting at the dinner table at Pams dinnner getting ready to log
our epic, epic, epic ride to motionbased.com and the table has voted
to let you know that this is the most difficult ride we have ever
attempted the first 50 miles is as difficult as our "normal" century,
a step above Leaky death ride either direction you ride it. more
will follow. Craig

I look forward to hearing and seeing the stories. And so does about 100 other folks on the distribution.
