The principal called the ride a "prank" ... one comment read:

Oh no, it's NOT a prank. In Coopersville, it's TRADITION that seniors drive tractors to school on their last day. No one has ever given them a hassle about it! But, that's us rednecks for you! :-)

Tractors blocking the road: OK, bikes: not so much.
