Subject: EcoRide on Sunday, June 24

WBWC members and supporters,
The Washtenaw Bicycling and Walking Coalition (WBWC) is cooperating with
the Ecology Center on the Center's EcoRide on Sunday, June 24.   The ride is a
fund raiser for the Ecology Center.

Four ride routes planned, two of which are along the Border-to-Border (B2B)
Trail.  Starting from Riverside Park in Ann Arbor, one ride will follow the
B2B Trail east past St. Joe's Hospital and then return; the other ride will
follow the B2B Trail northwest past Argo Dam and through Bandemer Park and
then go north on Whitmore Lake Road before returning.  The rides will visit
urban gardens and other sites.  The mayors of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti are
expected to ride on the route to St. Joe's.  The B2B rides will be about 10
miles round trip, or one can do both for a total of about 20 miles.  The rides
are advertised to run between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.   There is also a
2-mile ride/walk, geared toward families and kids, and a 55-mile ride for those
who want to go farther.

Further information about the rides, including information about routes,
festivities, volunteering, and registration, is available at:
http://www.ecocenter.org/ecoride

The Ecology Center says:
"EcoRide is a fun and exciting way to support the Ecology Center with
family-friendly and long-distance routes that include stops that promote local
environmental accomplishments. So pump up your tires, line up your friends and
register for the funnest, finest bike tour of our region this year."

Larry how did it go on Sunday?  I was out of town, but I heard it was
pretty hot and muggy in the morning.  Was the minimal support you had
enough for all the questions that I am sure we got?  Were you able to take
all the stuff home with you on a bike trailer?
