U-M plans to add 500 parking spaces for Medical Campus

The Regents have approved U-M plans to add 500 parking spaces for Medical Campus.  What a shame, when it has been proved that UM has 2000 unused spots in satellite lots.  For for a lot less than $34M, transit from those lots could be provided.    I do not believe the University is serious about it's commitment to sustainability when it takes actions like the construction of another massive parking garage.  All for the god of convenience.

To be most precise, the new parking structure will contain 700 spaces
but replaces a 200-space surface lot, therefore is net 500.
