AVOCA -- Nearly one week after a
transmitter problem forced it off the air, radio station WARM 590 AM is
broadcasting today.
While there had been reports that the long-running AM station was off the air
permanently, federal officials said they never received official word from
Citadel Broadcasting, the station's owner. WARM had posted a notice on its Web
site that a transmitter problem had interrupted its service.
"As far as we're concerned, they never filed anything with us," FCC
spokesman David Fiske said of the station's situation.
