My new book, The Making of a Madam, is doing well for a self-published
title. Patsy and I continue to promote it, and on November 11 we are
speaking at the Fitton Center in Hamilton, Ohio. The event planner
said the luncheon has almost sold out.
I have recently updated my Web site, thanks to the help of my friend,
Emily Osburne. Check out the new look at www.WayneHolmes.com. I’m also
having a holiday book sale. Some of the titles on sale are limited to
stock on hand. During the summer months I’ve been doing some paid
critiques. I’ve listed some of my services on the Web site under the
“Contact” page.
In April of this year I celebrated thirty years of work with the
Postal Service. My dream was to retire and write full time. With the
recession, that dream has been postponed—but not forgotten. One day I
will turn in my badge, mail bag, mace, and walk out the door, never to
return. But, I’m not wishing my life away. I’m trying to enjoy these
remaining years, but also looking forward to doing what I love—
writing.
