The November issue of Guideposts featured Shaun Alexander and excerpted
the first chapter of Touchdown Alexander, which I wrote for him
(Harvest House) and they quoted me on what it was like to work with
Shaun.
90 Minutes in Heaven (Revell) has now been on the New York Times list
for six weeks. Don Piper appeared on the Today Show on November 14.
Penguin Praise released Daily Devotions Inspired by 90 Minutes in
Heaven. Christians in Recovery (CIR) has approved my books When Someone
You Love Abuses Drugs or Alcohol and When Someone You Love Suffers from
Depression or Mental Illness for website book sales. They designed a
banner to feature these books and recommend them to their members.
During November National Caregiving Awareness Month, I've spoken about
caregiving with numerous radio broadcasters.
Within the next few weeks, Crosswalk.com will publish an article about
me. The article, written by Julie Garmon with a caregiving slant, will
include a link to my caregiving website.
Invading the Privacy of God, my devotion book to help others revitalize
their prayer life, has been approved by Crosswalk.com for inclusion in
their daily devotions.

My trip to Kenya and Sudan was a life-changing experience. The research
for When the Nile Runs Red, a September 2007 release (Moody), was
completed.
I'd never seen such poverty. Neither had I ever seen such profound
faith. I want to go back and volunteer to help make a difference in the
lives of those courageous people.
For those who wondered about safety issues, I was never afraid but I
did use caution. I wanted to take more pictures, but many of the people
I came in contact with were not willing, and I needed to respect their
wishes. Since November 27, my website has a blog about the trip.
December 2 at 11:00 a.m., I will be at the LifeWay Christian Store at
Willowbrook in Houston. On December 8th at 1:00 p.m., I will be at the
Barnes and Noble Champions Store in Houston. On December 9 at 10:00
a.m., I will be at Wal-Mart 3450 FM 1960 West, Houston.

November was one of those months for which I think the phrase "crazy
busy" was designed to describe. I had lots of speaking engagements
which gave me the chance to connect with lots of my readers. One of
those opportunities was hosted by Barnes & Noble in the rotunda at the
Mall of America in Bloomington, MN, where I appeared on a panel with
several friends from the Christian Authors Network. Such fun-and the
great turnout made the store very happy.
Here's my schedule for December. Remember, if you are in the area
feel free to email me for details. I'd love to see you!
