Six years prior to the internet when 300 baud modems ruled the planet, The
American War Library was established on 04 July 1988 as our world's first online
military library and personnel database (Ref: NY Times, 06 December 1988) -- the
eve of the 47th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor).
The War Library's primary mission remains to archive the names and military
information of every person of every nation during any war or peacetime who
served in military uniform. Within the next six months our country will
experience a resurgence of military appreciation and heritage awareness due to
the coming end of military operations in Iraq and final closure in Afghanistan.
Eeveryone who served in uniform will feel a strong sense of pride, as will also
military family members.
Are all of your military family members listed in the online database? Veterans
live as long as they are remembered.
