Hey there Adam ...
Thanks for the response back to my question concerning the large
ad. Sorry, but after using the site, I can now see that I jumped the
gun on presuming that the ad was permanently there while a user maps
out his or her route. My bad. :-( Once again, I am sorry about
that.
I learned that once you begin a new route that it is no longer there
to obstruct that segment of the map. Works for me. I've been using
your site now for the last several days and I commend you on putting
it together. Wish that I had this technology way back when I was
running high school long distance back in the mid 80's. Back then I
spent a lot of time tracing out routes on a standard map (northern
Chicago suburb of Deerfield) and then driving each one to obtain the
milage reading via the car's odometer.
By the way, is there any way for a user to insert text into the
map? I'd like to be able to insert a side note here and there on some
of the routes with regard to mileage / street conditions (i.e. pothole
here, blind corner there, beware of dog, etc.).
