Does anyone have a recommendation for a camera? Are there some that are specially designed for bike helmets?

Thank goodness for videos of this sort of thing. It looks like there is some follow up.

The comments on the Channel 5 version of the story include several that
say, in essence, the person on the bike deserved it.

Having video -- that's gone viral nationally -- is the only reason this is
news. Those of us who ride lots of miles each week should think seriously
about adding them to our bikes.

The possibility of being caught on video could at least make a drive think
twice about fleeing the scene.

I will definitely not be reading those comments. Luckily here the legal system should have good evidence and luckily here the guy riding a bike was not killed.

I did read the comments in various places and found many to be almost as
disturbing as the video. In the future I will try to follow "Edwin's
rule": Don't look at the comments section, because you WILL be
discouraged.

Yes as to bike helmet cameras.  I do not know any brands other that GoPro (or however it is spelled).
