VU Degree authentication, for Kuwait students

Dears,

Recently, one of my friends has visited serhad campus in Kuwait to obtain admission information. They told him that Kuwait has stopped the affiliation with virtual and Allama iqbal university, means the degree from these universities will not be recognized in Kuwait. Please let me know if you have any information in this regard. I am really confused to continue study with VU.

Dear Ajaz, can u plz tell me what is " serhad campus" in Kuwait, as I only know Sarhad University of Information and technology in Kuwait and that's a normal private University and has no right to comment on other universities of Pakistan.

Mehreen and other fellows,

In GCC Countries those degrees are accepted which are endorsed by the these  countries consulats in pakistan. The requirement of these consulates are degress should be verified by HEC and afterwards Ministery of forign affairs. so, any degree which is verfied by concerened country consulate would be accepted in gulf countries. This is not the specific case that kuwait is not accepting degree.

Dear Mehree, I’m talking about same study center, the address is on the below link.

They have explained that Pakistan refused to accept Arab Open University’s degree and in response to that Kuwait has refused to accept VU and Allama Iqbab University’s degree. I’m striving to get the information from Pakistan as well.

I am 100% agree with u Tauqeer. The only criteria of acceptance of degree is attestation from HEC and endorsement from Pakistan Foreign office, after this Kuwait Government has no means to accept the degree.

About this Sarhad Campus issue, there is no reality in the rumors. The authenticity of Sarhad Campus is also doubtful.

So just concentrate on ur studies.

I also do agree with Mr. Tauqeer, Serhad campus has no concern with this issue, since its own position is doubtful, whereas Arab Open University, this is totally private university and has no roots in GCC as Govt. Universities can have. So this is just rumor about VU.

Dear there is no need to worry about the your degree.Virtal university of pakistan degree is recognized all over the world.it is a public sector university and no other institution and university has right to comment abou VU degree.

Thanks guys for your comments. Yesterday, I myself spoke to Serhad University’s representative regarding the statement he has given to my friend. He said, “It is true that VU and Allam Iqbal University’s degree is not acceptable in Kuwait and if you have doubt you can check it with Kuwait higher education ministry because when you apply for any job your degree has to be attested from the ministry”.

The thing why I am worry because after spending so much time and money, we come to know the degree is not acceptable would be very devastating situation and I require the degree for my career advancement in ICT.

Dear u r looking fool while discussing this matter. You should be aware that Virtual University is registered in Pakistan. Its pakistani university not kuwaiti. If u want to get job in GCC u only need to attest ur degree from HEC and Foreign Affair.

 

It is only sufficient or more u can attest it from kuwait embassy in pakistan which will attest ur degree on the basis of attestation mentioned above.

think if u r employer u want the best for ur organization and u can impose any restriction 

if i were employer i dont like to take employee from the alkhair univ because i saw their examination system. The student of Alkhair Uni will not force me.   if any company impose the restriction, u have to accept. yar us ke ley wo uni credible nai ho gi.

Dear Irfan Khan, u r LOOKING VERY WISE GUY while commenting on the subject. I can attribute any bad/good word to you on this forum, no restrictions, but we should show and follow some ethics. I have just quoted a statement of somebody else and asked VU Kuwait students only to comment on it, as they can verify it from different local sources. It is well understood, there will be no problem of getting attestation of VU degree from HEC and ministry of foreign Affair of Pakistan but it may face problem from getting attestation from Kuwait authority.

I would like to add one small research.

UAE ministry of higher education accepts the VU degree for equivalency.
BUT only if you did your studies regular basis (Not the distance learning).

Mostly Distance learning equivalency is not available all over the world.

If you were avialable in Pakistan while doing your degree, you are
allowed any GCC equivalency degree.

They treat 16 year study as bachelor, 17 years study as master's.

For two years bachelors they will give you only Diploma as Equivalency
certificate.
