My presentation n viva (worst experience )

Dear students,

Those who are going to give their presentation n viva please just focus on your training 

program specially account opening department activities, must see the account opening form 

because they can ask anything related to this form. Second is your ratio analysis ...must prepare 

because they mostly ask question from ratios ...n also the impacts on organization. 

(M going to share my experience here but m sorry if someone dont like my wordings which i used for them.....i know we should respect them but some time we cant ..sorry seniors my story is quite changed as compared to you may be its my bad luck) 

Well i was last student....When i entered in room i'v seen 2 people sitting in front of me n 3 on the screen ....then they said sit down here n tell your intro! a lady came and  told me how to present in front of camera etc....she was very nice ...because they PEOPLE are from my campus from Karachi....may be thats why they are much formal....i just love their way of talking =)

 

My presentation was quite good but in viva i was not up to mark because they called me at 2pm 

while my timing was 12pm ....cause of panic i lost my confidence but they asked more then 25 questions thats enough i dont know why they did like that with me may be i pointed there mistakes n argue with them thats why.....=(

n.e ways 1st  they said complete your presentation in 15 minutes ...(i wanted to argue with them but i left ) n start my presentation with the name of Allah....successfully i complete my presentation n left Ratio analysis portion....they said why u left this portion ...then i said to them sir its not possible to present my whole presentation in 15 minutes thats why..( it was their fault they called me late n was creating panic)  .....you have to give me time so that i can elaborate....they said no relax marina ok ok  just present your current ratio we will give you more time ...then i presented very well mashallah....2 instructors who was sitting with me said your are pretty good in your ratio analysis we like your presentation style its mean that you calculated by yourself. 

then on screen the guy said...ok marina present your current ratio....i was lil bit confused but i said sir i already present right now....(remember they never making me confuse at that time they talking with each other thats why they did not listen my ratios ..what a  professionalism ) 

they said oh sorry yes move on quick ratio .....then i replied sir banks didn't use quick ratio thats why i never calculated......they again said ok marina ....its my mistake m sorry n moved on the next question ...what is the big liability of bank can you point out in your balance sheet i said sir in my opinion deposits consider to be the big liab of bank...they said good! .....ok marina tell me what is your cgpa ...have you cleared all subject ...i said yes alhumdullilah i cleared all n my g.p is xxxxx .....then they asked you doing job what your designation etc.....i said no sir m student n just going to get degree in finance after that i'll apply for job!  ..........so on!

after that the bundle of questions they asked from me related to my training program, n from ratios .....after spent my 45 minutes .... i realized that on screen the people are super idiots u can say 3 idiots...and informal....n this is not my presentation but yes it was informal conversation...they dint know how to talk with students .....i remember the guy said to me after got my one answer related to the bank activities...that marina "apko bank waly k mon pe 1000 rupe marny chahye thy taky sari information apko deta jb tak inko pasy na milen ye btaty nae internees ko pori tarha se dakhye apko ko ghalat guide kia gya...me ne bhi m.com kia tha but me tu 3 ya 4 so ropy marta tha n info le leta that bla bla" ....i just control my anger at that time n keep quite.....just listened to him what they bug=z

 i was totly irritated when they asked 26th stupid question to me......in starting they said we have just 20 minutes complete your presentation in 15 minutes right......n after that they spent 45 minutes on asking unrelated question n some tough questions because i pointed there mistakes ...what rubbish.....1st time i really disappointed.....cause of there behavior! now let see what will be my result....i hope i'll also clear because i given to them very smart answers ....in last he said you should be in the army ....n they laughed =p keep it up marina n best wishes for your future!  i think this is a positive sign for me......only God knows! but

After reading your post, first of all i want to assure you to be confident about your result

InshAllah you will go through,

As the way you present all its remarkable and to be confident about your knowledge is the total game for which you are fighting...

 

& its good for all of us fellow to learn from your expereience,

and a bit shocking to listen about the attitude of the examiners or interviewers

it should not be non serious..

 

But it may be a trick to check out the knowledge and confidence level of the students and be more tricky with the sharp one students like you.

May be that will be the strategy,

as we have to defend not just the knowledge but all..

our confidence, our patience, like you said they ask irrelevant question

may be it a test of your patience,

its good that you don,t lost your control and become hyper,

we have to remain pleasant but confident

mean not getting agree with at all with examiner but getting disagree in a polite manner

 

But overall they strike on you with heavy fire

and you defend well.

Princess of Heart, Just calm down and relax dear..... Viva & Voce is very easy. It does not matter that You are a home based student.. Did You ever negotiated with your friedz, family etc.. It was just a joke........ Definitely you will be negotiated. So, its same like negotiation and you have to prove that you are right and competent in your feild of specialization.....

you know what you have lot of confidence thats why u communicating here ...just need to use this confidence in front of  others .....every person has the hidden skills n abilities but sometime they never know bout it...but on the right situation they use n amazed ....that its me?????? .....

Download Request Form for Reference Letter from ua course website from VULMS.

Fill it n send to ua course related instructor(like if you are HRM student u'll send at hrm...@vu.edu.pk)

They'll issue Reference letter.

Yes dear arshia...its very simple just open your LMS and then go in your course ..click on downloads.....then you can find Request Form for Reference Letter....

Fill this form....like 1st fill out all organization information which they asked....2nd put your information and send to fin...@vu.edu.pk or if you are hrm student then send on hrm...@vu.edu.pk....right! (remember that send this request form by using your vu email ok)

after few days u'll get your reference letter inshallah ...then you can start your internship. for your convenience m giving you request form so u can also download...but better to download this form from your LMS...!

For internship , you don't need to show any past work experience. In fact,internship is basically for fresh students.If your CGPA is 2.0 or above you can choose internship. But yes, for Project you need to show your employment certificate and you need to pass the "STA630"subject along with CGPA above 2.0.

i told procedure many times but for you m again sharing ...1st you have to download request form for letter from your LMS in download section n then fill out all information bout your organization etc....then send this form to your course mailing address ....by using your vu e.mail....after few days you will get your reference letter..uni will send by T.C.S.
