Went for a Tuesday morning (1/13) skate from the Malletts Bay Boat Launch.  Ice was 10" thick and skate-able out to the small islands, but had to thread my way through large sections of shell ice.  No significant cracks or leads.  Beyond the Islands and  was bumpy with piles of frozen slush and not really skate-able.  Fun 45 minutes though.
