How much did Villein hose you? (New verbiage on Villein kicks in Jan
1, right?)

PS, this deck would have been much better with 1 copy of Clan
Impersonation :-)

Hey, Mr. Wedge DID say, "Minion Tap was playable again." I had no
idea it would be so soon.

My impression was that Mike faced zero Villeins during the qualifier. In the finals there were about three Vessels, though....

It was truly remarkable, I saw no Villain's or AI's at any of my
tables the entire tourny. Clan Impersonation?

It's not all that remarkable. I've heard of many WHOLE decks being compiled
with Blood Dolls, Vessels, Tributes, even such crazy things as Voter Caps
and Con Boons for pool management. This is why I've always thought the
notion of Minion Tap being a worthless card was overwrought. Your deck and
its success demonstrated that perfectly.

I agree, you were kind of lucky about the AIs. But it's a good deck.

(Brandon, what do Vessels have to do with anything? Last I looked Vessels
only mattered to people using Blood Dolls. Confused...)

Vessels suck for the most part, where Villeins are a staple in most high cap tournament decks these days. I found it surprising to see any played at all, but people have their reasons.

In tournament 1 I played 5 Villeins and saw AI go off a handful of times I don't remember if I was ever AI'd, but it really made me careful. Dennis had that Anu deck where he boosted bleeds in order to burn his pred's vampires. Freddy Gage put me in a tough spot where I either had to bleed for 1 against Dennis (which became 2 for titled vampires) or risk AI from him.

I found the different play groups to make for an interesting tournament because of interactions like that.

Cheesy with extra cheese on the side.

Geez.

Funny, I call the deck legal.

Hey, according to Matt, your Minion Taps weren't quote "playable
again" until January. Did that make your cheesy deck legal or
illegal?

Well, never you mind. It being a qualifier, one might have thought
that opponents would be on the lookout for cheese and have metagamed
against it. But I guess nobody thought there'd be cheese at a
qualifier. You must have surprised them. Those are the kinds of clever
insights I never see coming.

See you all next weekend! I'm bringing Mike with me so I can be
mightily abused, too.

I played MT legally, If Villien was played I would have been taxed
like always. I just got lucky. I was playing counter cheese any
way. :)

Sorry guys, I couldn't round up anyone to drive to LA with me for your tournaments. I guess the idea of four tournaments over two days isn't that appealing(?!?!?). Humbug!
