More reports to follow (waiting for some decklists). But the short version is that Darby won event #1 (12 players) with a tupdog deck that made good use of a lot of newer cards.

Darby won the qualifier (15 players) with a malk anti bleed deck making use of Art of Memory. Darby outlasted Matt Facto's anti-Malk bleed deck. Jeff Poole was also in this game and made lots of noise. I recall his deck being nasty but forget what it was.

Robert Scythe won event #3 (10 players) with, I think, a Toreador toolbox deck. I played Arms Dealers w/Flash Grenade+Blood Lust+Dream World. It came down to Scythe and me but he successfully Waked a lot and bounced my late game lunge.

Mike Courtois won event 4 (12 players?). I played Bakija's Nosferatu Hate You deck and had many Methuselah's scared. Dennis Lien had a lot of No Secrets in play before being ganged-up on. Matt Wedge has some great Assamite bleediness going on but due to odd table dynamics ended-up helping Mike with a Giant's Blood and rescue of his torpored key minion. Fred Scott played Giovanni power bleed and was able to oust Dennis (who was killing himself anyway due to the gang-up situation). Wedge and Courtois fought to near time when Matt could only get as close as a vote that would have killed both remaining Methuselah's. Mike blocked the vote just to be on the safe side.

Great time was had and we're going back in September!

The storyline was fun too. I made it to the final with a loyalist
deck. It was the only one! Everyone else abused the villein +
lillith's blessing combo. Also, outside the hour glass + domain of
evernight is fun!

Literally!

Animalism bats and crows, low mid-cap, presence laibon bleed,
permacept. Never had a chance to really get going due to some cross-
table Fred shinnanigans! AND that after darby stealth bled me out,
Darby broke his own rule which he clearly stated in round one. HE
SAID,"I never bleed for more than three, ever." So he bleeds Jeff for
4 and Jeff plays Archon Invetigation, Hooray for the anti-stealth
bleed faction, Right! No! Matt plays sudden reversal (to help his
prey!?!?!?!?). Archon Investigation on EBay $2, the WTF look on Jeff's
face.....yup, priceless!

So horrible. I had 2 in hand too! I was going to burn like 2 oh
Darby's vampires but I guess the other stealth bleeder thought Darby
would be easier to oust with 6 more pool and a minion. PTW ftw.

Well, here's mine:

Deck Name: The Quick and the Dead
Created By: Robert Scythe
Description: Infernal Pursuits, Aura Readings and the Barrens to get
your guns on, Ashurs to get back all those necessary discards. In the
tournament I drew the Barrens in my opening hand all three games, too
good. All the Forceds would be Eyes if I owned that many, though I did
use a Forced on a Mind Raped, Pulsed Kallista with only one blood to
fail a block. There's usually another Quicken, 2 DI's and another
intercept location (really missed the DI's). This really wants at
least 1 Aire even if Marcellus cannot use it, and he needs to be the
main. Rather have a Jake than the Hunting Grounds.

You seem to have me confused with someone else. I don't hesitate to
bleed for 15 if my deck can do it (and needs to at the time). I had
multiple minions popping 4+ bleeds in two of the four tournaments that
weekend.

Send this stuff to Robert for his more formal reports later (him being
the head honcho and all that).

----------

Deck Name : [2010 TW] The World's Biggest Small Multirushers
Author : Darby Keeney

Comments: Many thanks to Fred Scott for lending me 2 Tupdogs for this
tournament. Generally, I have found a 2.5:1 Tupdog-to-!Tremere ratio
to work out pretty well, though a long string of Dogs at the top pf
one's crypt is frustrating.

The objective for this deck is to get additional mileage from the
Tupdogs...decreasing their effective cost from 1 pool per action to
0.5 pool per action and further leveraging both the rush and the slave
option (rush first, untap, available for slave clause, take an action
of the slave clause is not needed).

The deck is supposed to carry 1 more Ashur Tablet, but I seem to own
only 5 at this time. 4, 6 or 7 seem like the right numbers to me,
depending on your risk tolerance and recycling needs.

Synergies:
Carver's + Dragonbound and Carver's + Vessel are pretty clear.
Carver's + Raw Recruit is an indefinate hold on a Recruit target (that
could not be Graverobbed). Carver's not affecting Tupdogs is a bonus.

Heidleburg can save master vampires from dangerous hunting
requirements, can empty a Tupdog of before it explodes and allows 2
Hand of Conrad actions per turn.

No, no, no, I know you will bleed for what you can or need to at the
time. I think it was some gamesmanship that you were trying to get me
to fall for in that game (or trying to get me to give away wether or
not I had an AI), but what really embarassed me was when I let Jeff
get me frazelled and I played Telepathic Misdirection incorrectly.
(After I talked about so many great players in L.A., I am sure not one
of them!)

Here is the Deck List for Tourny #4

Deck Name: Misteress Fanchon doesn't have a Heart!
Created By: Matt Wedge & Michael Courtois
Description: The deck SHOULD have a Heart of Cheating but it was in
another deck and I forgot to add it before the tourny. Misteress must
get a Ruters Hand first thing then Alastor the Helicopter, then Magic
the Ankara Citidel. From there, there is enough in the deck to go in
and look for the answer that is needed to attack or defend the game
state. Orlando is always your second minion to help grab the political
reins at the table. If all goes well, you'll be the last one
standing.
