·  Attendees: Evelyn Eichorn, Dennis Ballance

·  Current status: One company is developing a parser for VRRS documents. They have requested more sample documents. Dennis to ask if they can prepare some proposed samples which we could then validate. Two companies are planning to build document creation engines.

·  Next steps:

  1. Still need to settle on governance plan. AVI remains fairly quiet. Plan: Dennis to talk with Stuart about specific ideas then have a governance meeting, inviting VetXML to participate as a candidate host entity.
  2. Next tech steps are to settle on a recommended transfer protocol, and to design an generic medical record structure. Both should be delayed until we know what HL7 is planning as far as intellectual property.

·  Next meeting: 1/17/2013

Sorry I missed the call.  I will miss the next one as well.  I'll be at HL7.  I HOPE I will be getting clarity on HL7's plans.  Sounds like you all can move forward on the governance part without me.  That is my weak area.

Good job rounding up companies to pilot.

Here’s hoping the HL7 discussions go in a favorable direction!
