It is not just the torture facility at Guantanamo that must be closed.

The entire U.S. Naval base needs to be closed and the base and its land
returned to the Cuban people as an act of good will and friendship.

That is the alpha and omega of the matter.

I think we should consider changing the city council election system before
the next election cycle.

We should institute a primary election for City Council in Eureka in June
with a run off in November between the top two vote getters.

This is the way democracies operate in the modern world.

When I attended the so called "visioning" meeting a couple of weeks ago a
Eureka City program was mentioned called " the Homeless Response- Homeless
Prosecution Program" and it was mentioned as a success by the flack hired
by the city to run three days of official city council sessions? Imagine
