Welcome to the Vodpod API group. This group is for documentation and discussion of the Vodpod API.

Using this API makes it easy to manage large collections of videos aggregated from anywhere on the internet.

Video Widgets

The simplest use for our API is to build new video widgets. These widgets let your visitors watch videos right on your site just by clicking

a thumbnail. We have already built a bunch of different widgets with different form factors and designs. You can get one of these

just by signing up at Vodpod and going to the widgets page. But if you want to go beyond our pre-built widgets, then its easy to

use our API to build any kind of widget you like. To help get your started, we've open sourced the code for our gallery widget.

Power your video site with vodpod

With the Vodpod API and a bit of JS and HTML know-how, you can quickly and easily build a "video gallery" for your site.  To help get you started, we've open sourced two of our video gallery widgets.  Feel free to use these however you wish: customize them to fit your site's look and feel, or simply use them to better understand our API and create something brand new!  You may download these widgets in the "Files" section below.
