I am having an issue where my tasks for my ESX server are building up quite
a large queue which makes it almost imposible to do anything through
vcenter. Is there anyway that you can kill these tasks?

Josh:

Tasks hanging in Vcenter isn't normal in the least. Do they hang on a
certain ESX server? All the servers? Have you looked into whether or
not you may have hardware, or network issues? Software (OS or
database) issues?

You might want to consider getting to the root of the problem versus
figuring out how to clear the task queue. I use a couple of different
Virtual Center installations and haven't encountered hangs like that
with the frequency you seem to be.

Talked it over with VMWare support turns out I needed to increase my console
memory for 250 MB to 800 MB on each node. Runs like it is brand new. Still
did not find out how to kill individual tasks that are running on the ESX,
but I did find out how to kill all of them, lol.

OK, well when you implemented this fix on your ESX Servers, are you
now in a position where you still need to kill individual tasks?

Hopefully not!

So far no, everything is good to go. It is running close to when it was
brand new. Amazing what happens when you have enough memory allocated. Our
growth on that cluster had increased, and running HA at a pretty aggressive
setting was really eating alot of the ram from system console.
