command line to list virtual machines

What are the command line on the esx server to list all the virtual
machines on it.
couldn't find the doc for it.

Try vmware-cmd -l (all lower case)
This will list all virtual machines registered with that ESX host.

Actually Sunman, yes there is. It's /usr/bin/vmware-cmd on the ESX
Server itself. I know it at least existed in ESX Server 2.1 and I'm
looking at it's output on ESX Server 3.5 right now.

You need to ensure you have the correct port open for it to work.
