Robert C. Peckham -- RIP
|
| |
It is my sad duty to report the passing of long-time RT-11 and PDP-11 fan, and my friend, Robert C. Peckham. Bob was one of the driving forces behind the last release (v5.7 -- Y2K-compliant) of RT-11. He continued to use it long after most other people had moved on to other platforms. Bob died peacefully in his sleep at home on September 9, 2009.... more »

Modula-2

|
| |
Hi. I happen to have a Modula-2 compiler for RSX. However, I'd like to find if someone happen to know a bit about this compiler, and perhaps even know if sources for the compiler exists anywhere. I think it originates from Brown Boveri, possibly partially from ETH in Zürich. (Asea might also have been involved.)... more »

RSX Crash driver for VF?

|
| |
Customer system (11/84, M-Plus V4.6) piled up. Try to take a crash dump. "Crash driver not loaded." Oh, well. No tape drives on this system. No scratch disks. No removable drives. The docs I have say DU, DL, MU, MS, MM devices only for crash dump support. Has anybody ever set up to crash dump to a virtual disk? Or why not... more »

I have been given the task of porting a major PDP-11 USN trainer from PDP-11/94 RSX-11M+ to Visual Studio 8 C++. I would like to be able to run at least code snippets of code on a PC to help verify the now code. I've downloaded, built and run the SIMH simulator successfully. Also a PDP11 Emulator and Assembler. Documentation is sparce on the... more »

RT-11

|
| |
Small check. Is there anyone reading these posts who still uses RT-11? While I know that many individuals who run DEC PDP-11 hardware use RT-11 to determine if the hardware works correctly, those users are not the target of my question. I am really inquiring about users who use RT-11 and want to make changes to the distributions, i.e. fix the... more »

Trade: PDP-11/R20 for PDP-8/S
|
| |
Anyone interested in trading for an 8/S? I'm willing to give up my *extremely rare* PDP-11/R20 in exchange for an 8/S. Pictures of the 11/R20 are at [link] Cheers, -RK

The SBC6120 is back once again! (PDP-8 clone KIT)
|
| |
[Reposted from [link] with Bob's permission. Please direct all discussion to that forum. Bob requested that I make it VERY clear that more front panels are very unlikely at this time: it would take at least a hundred orders to make it possible. And please don't address any questions to me. I'm just... more »
