We have DECnet and TCP/IP on our machines. They are talking DECnet.
There is TCP/IP on Ultrix machine.

OK, you added half the requisite information. Still not enough for a
definitive answer, though. How are the messages that are supposed to go to the
Ultrix machine via the VMS machine addressed? How about vice-versa?
