Anybody know why I'm getting this error on the recordings page?
Validation of viewstate MAC failed. If this application is hosted by a
Web Farm or cluster, ensure that <machineKey> configuration specifies
the same validationKey and validation algorithm. AutoGenerate cannot
be used in a cluster.
Most times I just ftp over the web.config and it fixes the issue.
Thanks
Zach

Are you on a cluster? Is there a reverse proxy between the IIS Server and
the web. Enabling the MAC is used as an extra security check (avoid
interception of a valid request and making malicious changes) if security
isn't an issue, you can just disable MAC.

Topic: Van Update for 2010zachariahyoung <zpy...@gmail.com> Jan 07 07:49PM -0800 ^
HI everyone,
I’m sending this email to let you know my thoughts about the future of
the VAN group and to solicit your input as well. I basically took the
busy month of December off from VAN, and I’d really like to get things
back rolling in this new year. I definitely want to continue to be
involved in this group, but like you, I’ve got a lot going on right
now. I feel like the group might be better served if there is an
individual(s) out there that can step up and do more of the
facilitating, so that I can move to a more support/background role.
If you’re concerned about the weekly meetings being too much work to
coordinate, my thought is maybe it would be better for us to meet just
once a month, or perhaps combine with another VAN group, so that the
work and organization could be further spread out. I guess depending
on how many people are interested in assisting with this would
determine how much work would actually fall on one person’s
shoulders. I definitely want this group to increase in number and
reach, and know that I cannot do that by myself, so I would greatly
appreciate any thoughts you might have on accomplishing that. You can
either email me directly, or post a reply.
Thanks,
Zach Young
