The answers to some of these questions are completely homophobic
assuming that everyone would need to make babies. I am appalled at
Google, who normally offers a safe haven for us gays of the world,
that they did not take this into account before placing on their
site. Larry Page and Sergey Brin have a video on the site so they
were involved in this decision. I'm terribly disappointed in Google.
This may be a joke or an April Fools but it still saddens me that
Google was so insensitive. I sincerely hope they are not becoming the
new Republican Christian Right!

One word can describe the deep feelings I felt while reading your post: ROFL
--
"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where--" said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat.

anti-semitic.

Don't feel so bad. Post menopausal women don't qualify either. And the
reality is, if the goal is to populate a new world, you and I wouldn't
be of much help!
It is a joke after all.

yeah, and if Google is suuuch an 'equal-opportunity employer', why don't they have translations into Cat, Dog, and Dolphin? Google is run by a bunch of homophobic, racists speciests

There was a perfectly gay friendly response provided to the question
you mention. "Um, definitely false -- and you'll be hearing from my
attorney for insinuating otherwise."

But answering this would definatly hurt your elligibility for the
obvious reason that reproduction is very important to a new society.

Are you kidding me? homophobic? As many gay couples will attest, there
are multiple ways to make babies that do not involve heterosexual
contact. You could man this ship with all gay people, given some split
in genders still, and they'd still be able make babies without
deviating from their preferences. Imagine, people traveling half a
billion miles through space to terraform a planet that's been prebuilt
by robots and they can't figure out something as simple as artificial
insemination. Another innocent situation turned political where there
is no winner. Question is whether someone is being insensitive or
hypersensitive.

Question is: with lube or without?

Don't be such a complete loser whiner!
It was a joke!
Grats to Larry Page and Sergey Brin for not being afraid to "offend"
anyone in the name of humor!
As for the homo whiner loser, well, you're a homo whiner loser.

I hope the creator of this thread was joking...because otherwise I
must say they are really over-reacting to something that really isn't
actually offensive in anyway, shape, or form.

Either he's exaggerating because, well, it's April fool's, or he's a she.

Bama, not "homophobic" so much as "heteronormative."

The former is reprobate. The latter just has a tendency to mismatch
its shoes and its belts and be kind of predictable.

I'm on the girl-on-girl team, and I played along. After all, if it
*were* a real colony, people would have to make a few babies.

Frankly, I was more offended at the suggestion of being in law school.

Seriously! That whole bit about tucking in a toddler I found to be a
bit condescending. I know it's a joke, but still. My toddler can tuck
herself in.

Poppy cock*, obviously there is plenty of research on how to make
homosexual men pregnant which can only take place on Mars. We'll need
to bring some gay guys along to serve as test subjects.

*-no pun intended

Only birthing age women can come. They can bring sperm with them in
an incubater. Dildos to.

The funny thing is that I actually noticed this myself...Though it's
not something I was particularly concerned with, honestly.
Granted, if ever a mission were to go to Mars, it would need a few
gays. Otherwise, it would obviously be destined for failure.
I mean, who's going to design the space suits? They would need the
flair that only a gay man could provide.

But I doubt they need to bring any gays on purpose anyway. According
to Chaos Theory, approximately and at least 10% of any population will
be gay and/or superheroes.
