Hello all, I would like to know if anyone knows about an app that controls a cable box or a DVR box from a cable company. The features that I'm looking for are, schedule recordings, play back the recordings on your tv. Well basically all of the functions that you could do on the regular TV remote.

I think that depends on who you have as your cable provider.
For example, I know that Direct TV has those capabilities in its iPhone app,
however, I personally have Comcast, and while the xfinity app does allow you
to schedule recordings, and even delete them, you cannot play them back on
the phone, or, use the phone to start them playing on the TV.
I've looked at forums for this one and apparently this is something that
folks would like to see, but not something that they've decided to implement
any time soon.
I am not aware of any app not tied to a cable TV/satellite provider that
does the things you are wanting.

I think it was in Yahoo News a couple of days ago that Apple might be making a TV set top box. If and when that happens, you know Voice Over will probably be a part of it.

I hope Apple does this. I just wonder which cable providers it will be on, as I don't think Charter has any remote scheduling at all on anything right now. Through those cable card things, Apple can make it just about universal, but I've read forums saying that activating one is anything but easy.

which way is the sim oriented in the sim tray on the iphone4. I guess the question is, where should the cut off corner be oriented if you are holding the sim and about to insert the tray back in to the phone.
I should not have let the cleaner do my desk, then it would have been as it was when I extracted it.
