Subject: TV Premium English Experience
Hello List,

I thought I would chime in on this, since others are having a variety of
experiences using this app. It's early evening in California and I opened
the "TV Premium" app. The stations were up in 1-2 seconds. I observed that
the stations were listed, but not what it was playing. I am able to access
the UK stations with no interruptions. I was able to get "Comedy Station"
(USA) to play for about 2 minutes and then it stopped. Probably in a few
days this app will be totally broken. Apple is onto it and they immediately
pulled it from the app store. I thought I would just tell you what I found.

Cheers,
Eileen

Ilene, how do we know Apple pulled it from the app store? There are times developers pull apps from the store for technical reasons. In this case it was only pulled from the US store. As of this morning the UK channels still are playing.

I purchased both the Premium TV English and Premium TV German app,
once they install they are both very smartly called "TV" without any
qualifier as to which is which so you have to open the app to find out
and then remember which is which by placing them in order. Anyhow, I
have yet to succeed in playing anything on either app.

Regards,
Sieghard

Maybe you need to swear at it in your language of choice.

Hi Sieghard,

Under iOS 5 you can use the VoiceOver relabeling feature to distinguish between TV English and TV German.  Flick to the app on your screen and do a two finger double tap and hold.  After the three tones, you'll be focused on the dialog menu for labeling in the text field for relabeling the app.  If I do a two finger flick up to "Read All", I'll hear VoiceOver say, "Label Element; text field, is editing, TV; Cancel button; Save button".  Just rename "TV" to "TV English" or you can leave this app's name as "TV", and make the second app's label "TV German".  This is handy if you have Navigon for the US or North America and also for Europe, for example, since both apps would be announced as "Navigon".

And Frank, not all of the UK channels still work.

HTH.  Cheers,

Esther
