Hi folks
Despite what you might think. I'm not talking about transit information here. I'm talking about bus stops as POIs. I don't know if it's different for you folks in the US but here in Germany I didn't really have any possibility to enter a bus or tram stop as starting or stopping point for a route. The only thing that worked was using a transit information app which let's you view a stop on google maps. The maps app gets started and the koordinates for the stop are put into the search field so you can use it as start or stop adress.
How is this in apple's new app? any chance of entering stops directly?

HHi mike
Well, like I said. I don't need transit information as such. I've got an app for taht as well. I want to plan my route from the stop to the actual adress.

I have a nifty little app called Where To. This app uses internet databases along with your GPS coordinates, to locate POIs near you. One of the categories is bus stops. If your local transit publishes the bus stop locations online, it should automatically access them. The app gives the street address for each bus stop, and you can export the data to Maps, Navigon, or TomTom. The app was written in the US. I live in Wellington, New Zealand, and it works here.

Hi David
Thanks for the info. It works here in Germany as well.
One question. Is there a way to get the voiceover focus into the popup menu for the apps from which to tget the turn by turn navigation? When I'm opening the route dialogue I can only flick around it. When I'm touching objects in the menu they'll be anounced, but flicking doesn't work. Is this a bug or is there something I can do?
