Subject: Xy low rider assembly
Hey Aaron,

I am trying to track down the assembly info(as well as a list if non printed parts) for the 8mm rod xy low rider for early cupcakes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello there,

So, the challenge is that I am an idiot. I deleted the page without copying the data. Here is a screenshot from the wayback web machine for reference.

Thanks, Here is the same info in text form:

M3 Bolts:

10mm                    4
50mm                    3
16mm                    21
12mm                    9
20mm                    10
22mm                    2
8mm                     5
30mm                    2
25mm                    2

M3x35 Cap               10

3mm cube magnet 5
3x10x4 bearing  19

M3 nut          58
M3 Washer               40

Now I just have to search thru my existing pile of hardware...

I am having trouble finding the flickr page with assembly instructions, perhaps because I don't remember your flickr handle.

Installing the lowrider for xy is well worth the effort.  I have two
installed and love them!

Do people have a preferred vendor for the socket cap bolts? I have just cobbled stuff with the extras from my Makerbot kit. This will be my first time to shop for a vendor.

Thx

Folks in the US usually default to McMaster-Carr when there's nobody local carrying the metric hardware:

http://www.mcmaster.com/#socket-head-cap-screws/=k18nb4

I use them as well for my personal projects, but it's not generally an option for non-US folks because they're picky about shipping address export restrictions and pre-existing business relationships.

Andrew.

Even if there is a local source McMaster is much cheaper.

Unless you just need 1 of course.

Fastenal just down the street from me sells a box of 100 M3 22's for $29
McMaster is about $4.77 last time I bought a box.

Man some of these things I only need two or three of. Hmm. It will be good to have extras lying around for future projects right?
