Hi guys,

Ok, I think we have a working plan.  Pete as put in a bottle order, but we still need corks.  I called over to Oak Barrel and Bernie says he has enough corks to sell us some.

Our bottles will show up at Petes brewery, so we need to get them up to Oakland.  I could drive down Saturday morning and get a load, but I think we will need another car or two.  Maybe even trip or two?

On Saturday, we will bottle the SvB first, them move through the Grenche and maybe start with the Roses.  We can finish the rose on Sunday and bottle some of the zin.

Does this sound like a plan?

Alas the bottles didn't ship until today, so they will arrive Monday.  They had to be consolidated from 2 warehouses before they could ship.

Cheers,

Lets bottle the rose tomorrow!  Dave's gonna get 13+ cases for it.  That will free up some tank space.

well, the bottling went well. and future bottlings should be much faster with far less spillage. why? because, greg and i invested i a fantastic bottling machine!

we also bought:
oak chips              $  4.50
144 corks

looks like we will need:
minimum

23 cases clear
8 cases bordeaux green
18 cases burgundy green

49 minimum should go well with our corks!

if we want to bring up more, or all, i am sure we can store them at greg's or my house.

we need to talk about movement. i can help, but my car can only get 24 cases.

how many cases do we have?

dave

Hi Peter,

Yes, I'll make sure to be here between 1-2, with a bit of buffer on each end.

My address is 1624 Martin Luther King Jr, Way in Berkeley. Cross streets Cedar and Virginia.

I'll give him a couple bottles of 2011.

What's his name?

By the way guys, I'm good for Saturday bottling, but my Sunday just got a bit sketchy.

there are 22 cases here from today's bottling. some to be distributed to alexis and pete.

greg took: 4 SvB, 2 grenache, 1 grenache ps, 1 zin = 8

barry took: 3 SvB, 1 grenache, 1 zin                       =5

will took:   2 SvB, 1 grenache, 1 grenache ps, 2 zin =6    will also took 1 syrah rose

total                                                                    = 19

                                                                             22

                                                                             41

cases left                                                                 8 out of 49 total

hey it all works out!

at first i was thinking a miracle had happened, but, then i realized i was counting some rose from last bottling.

Dudes,

I updated the sheet with the recent $s out.  I also added an area for cases / bottles taken.  I have Will, Barry and I updated.  I need your volumes Dave.  When Alexis and Pete take theirs ill need that too.
I also need the bottle $s Pete has spent.  We are still looking good for under $4/bottle even with what I think Pete has spent for bottles.
Any more thoughts on custom corks?  Knuckle head cellars and the modified grateful dead guy with wine pic.

Have you tasted it?  It may have gone south.

We could try to cool it.  This could help the haze polymerize and drop out of solution.
