When then it should be listed on www.vim.org -> community.
Because I can't find such there, I'd just put my question on this list.

Is there Vim on the iOS? I looked up the Wikipedia and it seems to
answer both yes and no. The iPod runs OS X, which is a Unix-like
POSIX-compliant OS, and that means bash and vi must be available. But
IIUC there is no filesystem access without jailbreaking, and what is Vim
without filesystem access?

Best regards,
Tony.

It's odd, and a little unsettling, to reflect upon the fact that
English is the only major language in which "I" is capitalized; in many
other languages "You" is capitalized and the "i" is lower case.

Given the lack of keyboard and (as Tony mentioned) filesystem access, however, I cannot see how it would be of any use.

If by chance you're looking for something on *developing for* iOS *using* Vim, see the excellent http://objvimmer.com/, by Jason Felice.

For those of us who routinely use a keyboard with the iPad, the iOS
Vim could be useful (given the pain of having to sync to get to the
files), but it is too buggy to really use much.
