you're a rather late, or possibly a little early for april 1st !
Wimax is dead and burried, period.
two things go against it :
1) the fact that you need a license to operate the thing
As a corollary, the price of each base station is prohibitive
(considering only licensed operators can actually make use of bought
hardware)
2) the fact that wifi A/N hardware is now out that costs almost nothing
and offers pretty close performance (notably the ubiquity M / Airmax
range)
