Hi Hope,

It is hard to specify a specific laptop because laptop manufacturers are known to mix and match components like WiFi even within the same model of laptop.  You want an Atheros chipset.  One way of going about this would be to search for an Atheros mini-pci WiFi chipset on ebay, e.g. 

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0&_nkw=atheros+wifi&_sacat=0&_from=R40

and look for the laptops that they are compatible with.  David Rowe (designer of the MP1) did this successfully (with a Lenovo x60 I believe).
