Hello List,

I just returned from a 16 day trip to Europe, where I was fortunate to
meet some of you.

At home in Adelaide I left several Mesh Potatoes running, and an IP04
Asterisk server running in a small mesh.

One MP01 had very bad clicks in the audio and wouldn't respond to DTMFs.
A reboot fixed it. Not sure if the audio side fell over or this was
some other reason, this node was set up shortly before I left.
This was disappointing as it's the MP01 I was hoping would be used for
phone calls every day while I was away so I didn't get any real use of
the mesh while I was away. So I failed the important test of a
"customer" using the mesh network every day while I was away.

The IP04 server was still connected to an ITSP from behind NAT and I
could make calls from it, despite several IP changes of the NAT gateway
while I was away. This is a nice result for SIP behind NAT, something
we will need to deal with for the VTE.

The 4 MP01s I deployed around my neighbourhood in outdoor boxes are
still running, after 4-6 weeks outdoors in the late Australian summer
(10C to 38C). Most of these don't have a phone attached so I can't test
telephony from here, but the pings indicate Wifi is OK.

Cheers,

David
