That is a great idea! Can't think why it didn't occur to me. It has
done wonders for initiatives like OpenMRS. I see the window of
application is from March 8 to March 12. Nice timing Rudolph!! We
would have missed this otherwise.
I'll be seeing David, Elektra, Alberto, and Edwin on the weekend at
CeBIT. We'll put together the application there.
In the mean time, if anyone is willing to be a mentor for a SoC
student, please get in contact.
Cheers... Steve

Just a reminder that the gsoc application deadline is tomorrow. I hope
that the Village Telco has / will apply.

Thanks for the reminder. I hate saying this but having gone through
their application process and documentation, I don't feel confident
applying for a spot for the Village Telco this year. We are all
stretched a little bit too thin at the moment. We need more time and
more people involved to be able to create the ecology of mentorship
that SoC needs. Unfortunately I did not get a response to my
invitation for volunteer mentors. SoC is a great opportunity to
support students and to develop profile for the Village Telco. We'll
definitely prepare earlier and sign up next year.
Sorry about that... Steve
