Thank you so very much. The earthquake spares Jeremie, where I'm from.
Getting in contact with my family and friends in Port-Au-Prince is
very difficult. The Haitian people needs your help. You can always
donate $1, $2, $5, whatever you can. I personally like yele.org. But
you can choose to give to whatever organization you like, red-cross
etc.

I now understand the importance of asterisk. The people in my town
(Jeremie) has no way to communicate with their parents abroad. Every
major communication services in the cities are not working. I used my
cybercafe (connecting via sat) so people in the community could stay
inform with what's going on in other parts of Haiti. Since I was
hosting my own asterisk server I was able to provide the community
free access to the outside world. I hope you guys see the potential of
MP in places like Haiti.

Once again .... please help HAITI (yele.org)

This is a tremendous testimony, Pascal. Thank you very much. Bon courage.
I spend several hours after the earthquake on the phone and on the Internet trying to join one of my family members working in Port au Prince for the Canadian embassy. Only his VoIP phone number connected to a satellite Internet connection was working. Land lines, local mobile phone networks and rooming phones all were cut. Except the VoIP, although I have to say with some difficulties due to the traffic jam on the satellite probably. Now we are still in contact by email only.
