We lost an old colleague, Phil Caputo. After his years at the Chicago Tribune, he went on to become a best-selling author beginning with the classic "A Rumor of War." Last saw him at an event staged by Peter Osnos,a former Vietnam correspondent, for the Washington Post in DC a couple years ago Phil was one of the speakers. A really nice guy as well as possibly our most successful author.
