Monitoring all lan from local machine(linux)

Dear all

how to monitor all lan ip with server ( all are on same range only )
through local machine nagios is done here but need a graph like how
much bandwidth is going to ne used by user's atatime ..

how to do this possible from local machine .

Can we use SNMP and MRTG for the same. Try to search about it on google.
