I love it !!     For the coin, we can put J.D.'s likeness on the other side, like Washington on a quarter.  q;)~

Can we simply make the 5 logos around the center more symmetrical ? Say, at the 12 o'clock position for education, then more evenly spaced for the others (balanced appearance).

The "EM" logo was formerly used by the National Association of Emergency Managers. However, I see many other municipalities and organizations using it.

We probably won't run into problems using it, but might need to check to be sure it has been placed in the "public domain" for general use.

Here is a web site that says it is obsolete and where it came from:

Thank you so much Mark, for your time, effort, and creativity ! This looks great.

Ok guys you can see Mark's comments below, he has done a lot of work on the logo.  It is up to us to accept or come up with another plan.

At this point Mark has put a lot of time into our logo and has other work to go back to. I want to thank Mark for his time and effort he has put into our logo.

Brieanne Nix with Hanover Fire offered some suggestions that finished the logo up. Thank you Brieanne.

So guys take a look and see what you think. Possibly let it ride until the next meeting for a vote or more discussion, that will also give everyone time to look it over.

JD,

At this point I don’t have any further alterations to make to the design.  If you want to send the latest version out to the Coalition for feedback, we can go from there.  Just keep in mind, there is a limit to how much we can incorporate into the design (and I think we are at the saturation point).  I think there is a pretty good cross section of what the Coalition does represented here.  If anything is to be changed, it’s going to be a case of what do you want to replace (not add).  Just my opinion.

The current EM logo has some wording “Public Safety, Public Trust”, or something to that effect.  I actually emailed NEMA for permission to use the logo, but have not had a response yet.  This older version works better in our design and I doubt we’ll run into any problems.

As far as the arrangements of the logos around the circle, I can go with whatever you guys want.
