hope i clicked on the right one.....lol. anyway, this fly is an example of why i like MoHair so much. And btw, MoHair was used a LOT "Back in the Days." wwaayyy back........so it's nothin' new at all as Salmon fly material. i did a green fly last night, (haven't taken a pic yet, head needs more work), where i used MoHair, and the fact that i picked it out as much on top (of the body area), as i did below.........really helped to stand the wing up. The wing is made using Fin Raccoon gaurd hairs from some Olive dyed F.R. and some bright Green dyed F.R. "mixed." And that wing would of never stood up without the MoHair (or something) underneath it. Actually, i was gonna use the F.R. gaurd hairs as an underwing for something else. But it looked so good after i got it tyed in, i decided to leave it as the wing and put a crest over top of that. So i did.....a dyed bright Green CDC feather. Came out cool.........MoHair is great stuff. You can use it totally under control, (conservatively), or you can let it run amock, (pick it out like KArazy), it's up to you how you handle it.
