This came from another photographer:

Suggestions for the Wall Designer:

1. I think it would be helpful to know the appox. width and height
each grouping would take up. Of course that's dependant on the frame
width and spacing inbetween each frame, but you could say something
like "This collection would take up approx. 6-9 feet on a wall."

2. A frame company I use (Excel) has software where you can see a
picture in the different frame samples on your computer screen.
There's a color picker where you can choose the background color for
the wall the frame will be on. It's totally not necessary, but could
be a neat feature to be able to choose your "wall" color.

3. It would be cool to be able to change the coloring of the pictures
to all black and white.

There will definitely be a grid that displays that shows proportions in terms of real world measurements. I am also planning some sort of three dimensional preview/view to get better context. Ultimately it would be nice for the user to be able to specify parameters for their wall, and have the view display accordingly.

There will definitely be framing options, as well as customization for the wall color/texture(wallpaper)

Image manipulation is out of the scope of the project. It is up to the photographer, not the client, which photographs are B&W. Not to say others don't have a different philosophy, just that I won't focus any development effort  to  image manipulation/special effects  in the foreseeable future :>
