The Venuez in Santa Clara

I went Tuesday night to The Venuez in Santa Clara the "Open Mic"
Hosted by Jef Dharma.
and played a few songs. Although it was a slow night, I can tell that
once the sound system is sorted this "Open Mic" is going to be a
pretty good place to play. The stage and sound equipment are very
nice, professional lighting and possibly, if administrated correctly,
and the addition of a “sound man” The Venuez could rival the Mission
Cafe for sound.

The only down side to The Venuez in Santa Clara is that it’s a bar. I
think if the owner can maybe move is some lower more “coffee shop”
style tables and chairs, maybe serve coffee and deserts as well as
full bar this could be a huge hit.
This gives more options to those who do not drink on Tuesday nights…
the option to have a coffee and snack listen to some good music
(hopefully) and maybe play open The Venuez to a possibilities of huge
crowds.
I think The Venuez in Santa Clara is a place to watch.
