Diamond Bob and The Alley Sneakers
This
information is going out to the people that have helped us become a fan
favorite in the Blues Community. I am moving to Lincoln CA this Summer and will
be leaving the band.
The
band was created in June of 2006 by Diamond Bob Perro, Bob Calhoun and Debbie
Waterstone. We were all students of the School of Blues and mentored by the
instructors there, especially Dave Barrett. Special thanks and much love to
Danny Hull (Doobie Brother) for his continuing support both on and off stage. I wanted to perform only my originals but was
awakened to the reality that you need to do covers also. Although our original songs are some of our fans favorites.
After
many changes in musicians the band found the right combination. We continued to
perform as we evolved into what many say is an amazing Blues band. We
progressed in our playing and style when many thought we could not. Being
successful comes with exposure and confidence in your abilities. We owe many
thanks to the following venues who believed in our music. Sam’s Town – Las
Vegas, Kings Head Pub – Campbell, Broken
Wing – Hollister, StriXes Lounge and Troy’s Bocce Bar– Morgan Hill, JJ’s Blues
– San Jose, The Grand Dell Saloon – Campbell, Elks Lodge #522 – San Jose, The Grapevine –
Willow Glen, The Monterey Road House – San Jose, Coyote Stage Stop – Coyote,
Down Town Campbell – Friday Night Music, Blinky’s Can’t Say – Santa Clara, Poor
House Bistro – San Jose , Biscuits and Blues – SF, Lupin Lodge – Los Gatos, White
Blossom – San Jose, Sonoma Chicken Coop – Almaden and all the many private
parties we were welcomed to.
Diego
Picetti, Don Hackler, Jeff Gordon and Steven Farrell, I can say are some of the
bravest men I know. They have all battled personal issues beyond the norm and
have carried on because of their love for the Blues and entertaining our fans.
I wish good luck to the band members that will remain and go forward in keeping
the Blues alive. I feel blessed to have known you. Thanks for putting up with me.
Thanks
to all and keep on Bluesin’
Diamond
