When you run reports, don’t you have the option to include closed projects? From the projects dropdown there’s a check box allowing you to include closed projects.

Subject: Closing a Project Changes Velocity Report?
I was running a query today on VersionOne and found that my calculated velocity metrics did not match what the basic velocity report shows in VersionOne.
So, I went back and checked our historic records, and it became apparent that the velocity report was not taking into account any stories (and their associated estimates) that are in projects that had been 'closed'.
This means that if you close a release project, your historical velocity reports change and are no longer accurate of your overall velocity.
Can anyone confirm that this is, indeed, the behavior? Is there a work around to this other than simply not closing your projects (not an option on our project that schedules many releases and prefer not to leave open a mass of projects)?
