Good Evening,
You are invited to the Northern Connecticut Vegetarian Society potluck on November 15 at 5 PM at The Carniglia Senior Center,
41 Oak Street, Windsor Locks, CT. We welcome all people who want to improve their health and the health of our world. Please bring a healthy Vegan dish to share along with a note card listing its ingredients and your name. Also, please bring your place setting (plate, cup, and utensils).
Jane Sirignano, Food For Life Cooking Instructor of Litchfield County’s The Cancer Project, will be the guest speaker on Cancer Prevention and Recovery. Her passion and enthusiasm from 35 years experience with healthy food will inspire you. Jane will present a Cancer Project class to introduce cancer-related nutrition topics, via a video featuring Neal Bernard. She will give live recipe demonstrations that are high in fiber, low-fat, and loaded with antioxidants and phytochemicals. Enjoy the naturally delicious food samples that are gluten-free, dairy-free, and meatless. The Cancer Survivor’s Guide will be available for purchase at the potluck.
Thanks to a grant from Hope's Cancer Support Group, a donation of only $10 per adult is requested to defray expenses. Children are free and most welcome to come.
See you November 15,
