Good Evening,

You are invited  to Northern Connecticut Vegetarian Society potluck and seminar with Curtis and Kristin Griffing of Healthpath, Windsor.  Kristin is a breast cancer survivor for 13 years now who never had chemo and survived by changing her lifestyle.  They will show how to:
-Live a lifestyle that promotes healing and health
- Lose unwanted weight
-Create stamina and add years to your life
 -Eliminate sickness and disease
-Eat food that control emotion and give power to the brain
-Sort out facts from propaganda
They will demo live/raw delicious foods and provide samples.

Also, the Country Farm Market at 225 Main Street, Windsor Locks (2 blocks north from the Senior Center) are donating fresh fruits and vegetable platters for the potluck.  Now, how are we going to get the salad dressing?  That is a challenge that has the making for a good contest.   Currently, we need contestants and a judge (maybe we can convince Oz, the owner of the market, to be a judge).  It is your responsibility to bring a healthy vegan dressing along with a list of its ingredients.  No corn syrup, honey or sugar please.  For recipes, go to Google and search  "raw salad dressing" or "vegan salad dressing".  The winner can choose between 2 free admissions to any potluck or 3 chances for the New Kitchen Aid Raffle or 16-ounce jar of the Artisana Raw Organic Coconut Butter.

If the weather is not compatible on January 25, I will post a "postpone" notice on the website www.northctveg.org .

For the potluck, bring a healthy vegan dish (live foods if possible) to share along with a note card listing your ingredients and your name.   Vegan means no animal ingredients (zero honey, butter, cheeze, eggs, dairy, meat, fish or chicken).  Healthy means no sugar or white flour.  Don't fret if you cannot imagine what to bring.  Simply buy some shelled nuts (as brazil nuts or pecans).  Also, please bring your place setting (plate, cup, and utensils).

A donation of $7 per adult is requested to cover expenses as hall rental.  Children are free and encourage to come.  The Carniglia Senior Center, 41 Oak Street, Windsor Locks, CT, is the location for this event.  Free parking is available in a large lot across from the Center.   To RSVP or for more information, telephone Harry at
860-623-8082 or email Joyce at joyc...@aol.com.

Hope to see you January 25,
