After at least two years of using veejay (meanly for a theater set decoration), i have a ministream of propositions/questions :-)
(((some's are already answer by neels in private but i resend it to share it)))
*-*Syntax Error in man page
I found a syntax error in veejay 1.5.8 man page / in keybinding section [LEFT BRACKET] two time, second must be [RIGHT BRACKET]
*-*Flash green in luma
i got a green flash on the first frame of the first activation of a luma fx, is it a bug, or a feature ?
*-* system integration
what about let reloaded respond to gnome placement rules ?
*-* Loop or Not?
why [KEYPAD *] don't activate random looptype ? , or how what is random looptype shortcut ? (or even, is random a loop ?)
*-* Keybiding soft style
i think about start (after 23 of june) the implementation of a keybiding internationalisation (in the veejayserver event.c something)
At least to have speed/frame in one line on french kb (qwerty -> azerty) and to debug why "sample range" [1...9] is not working in my config (at least the last time i try).
What do you think to had a command line parameter to permit other keybinding easyly or better a keybiding config file and put away some hard config ???? (long-long time a did't vomit c/c++ line, but as i already saw in event.c something, it should not be so complicated.)
*-* And even more questions on vims pd patch (who loose connexion as far is found it, but i'dtd try yet in a debugger), video pipe and other v4l2 stream.
Colored Thank's to all the crew for this méchant soft !
Thanks for the feedback and for positing it to the group,
I think I already answered some of the points, here's a summary:
1. error in man page confirmed, fixed in master branch (git)
2. green screen in luma effect - which one specifically and with what
parameters values?
I have trouble reproducing this effect, but its a bug
3. gnome placement; I don't use gnome. Feel free to add it as optional
feature
4. keybinding from config file
was on veejay's todo list until i started (slowly) working on veejay-ng,
feel free to start something, i'll tune in if you need help
5. i have not read or used vims pd code in over a year, maybe even longer.
if there's a communication problem with it, it will be where it reads
and parses status tokens
(reading too few or too many)
After summer, there will be a plus méchant soft, hopefully :)
